Images from New York City’s Central Park

Our apartment in New York City was located one block from Central Park so naturally we spent a lot of time there, particularly with the temperature occasionally reaching highs in the eighties.

We visited Central Park at the start of Autumn/Fall just as the leaves were starting to change and it is perhaps the most beautiful time to see it. Whether you’re in Central Park to exercise, relax or spend some quality time with your partner, the park truly has something for everybody to enjoy.

For the two of us, our personal highlight was renting rowboats from The Central Park Boathouse – a unique way to see Central Park and a fantastic opportunity to make the most of a sunny afternoon in NYC.

Here are some of our favorite photos from our time in Central Park:

Have you visited Central Park before? What was your favorite part of the park?

    Really beautiful photography!

I’ve only been to Central Park in December, really wishing I went during the summer months though. I imagine it would be pretty vibrant. :)

Keep up the great posts and photography!

Thanks Nicole! I think Fall/Winter would be the best times to see Central Park but in terms of activities and relaxation, summer might be the best to just hang out. Although it did get pretty warm while we were there in October!

I spend some time in the park every visit to NYC. Last July, took advantage of the numerous benches and did some fantastic people watching. Even saw Justin Timberlake filming that movie “Friends with Benefits” while I was chilling.
Such a gorgeous park, an absolute must visit. The High Line rocks too.

Very nice! We spotted a few famous people in the park as well including one of the best Australian footballers there is… it’s definitely a great place for people watching.

The High Line is another great park and a unique place at that.

I loved Central Park when I went there – so many beautiful colours and you can get completely lost in it. I didn’t have a favourite part – it was all my favourite!

It’s very easy to get lost in there – we walked from the Upper West Side to the Upper East Side completely by accident! But it was so beautiful that we didn’t mind one bit!

Great photos! I still haven’t visited NY and the central park, need to go there, but it does seem really nice.

We got EXTREMELY lucky to get that apartment – left our booking way too late but somehow that popped up right as we were panicking about accommodation. Would have loved to have stayed another 2 weeks and really seen the fall foliage but there will be another chance!

Central Park fascinates me. This big, almost untamed wilderness at the heart of the quintessential city. Would love to explore it someday.

It truly is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC! We loved going there, it’s a totally different world to what is outside its borders.

Great photos! I love Central Park! It’s such a nice getaway from the city and busy-ness of NYC! It’s been a while since I’ve been but the main thing I remember from it was getting my cartoon portrait painted by an artist in the park!

Central Park is so beautiful! I would have loved to stay nearby when we were in NYC. We visited 2 or 3 times in just three days. It helped that there are museums located in and around it so that we had a good excuse to go there!

    Great photos!

It really is gorgeous – just a nice escape from the city. There’s also a zoo in there somewhere so you really could be occupied for days!

It’s a shame to go to NYC without visiting Central Park–it balances out the craziness of the city.

I lived in NYC for three years and loved Central Park. One of my favorite places in NYC. I have to say the MET was my absolutely favorite place, but the merry-go-round and the Shakespeare Theater were also amazing.
