Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers In Photos

Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers In Photos

Due to Air Asia’s main hub being located in Kuala Lumpur, we’ve been through Malaysia’s capital city on a number of occasions in the past few years.

When we venture outside of the airport and into the city, there’s always one thing that we want to see again and again – the Petronas Twin Towers.

Petronas Towers in 2008

The photogenic towers are two of the tallest buildings in the world and are the landmark of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline. The Petronas Towers look fabulous during the day and even better at night and we’d be quite happy to go back to KL tomorrow and spend hours taking more photos of these regal buildings.

Here is a collection of the best photos we’ve shot of Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers between 2008 and the end of 2011.

One of the things you’ll learn about Kuala Lumpur after you’ve spent some time here is to expect a massive thunderstorm every day. One minute you’ll have the perfect weather to snap a photo of the Petronas Towers and then the next minute…

Petronas Towers - Before And During Storm

KLCC Park beneath the Twin Towers provides greenery to the area and the view from across it is quite stunning. If only we had a blue sky that day!

And just to finish this post off with something a little bit different, here’s one of the Petronas Towers in black and white…

In terms of beautiful buildings, they don’t come much prettier than the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Have you visited Petronas Towers before? Or is it somewhere you’d love to see one day?

I love the photo through the rainy window–gorgeous. When I went to KL I didn’t realize you needed a reservation to go up in the towers, and they were booked up for the entire length of our stay! Definitely a bummer, but it’ll go on the to-do list for the next time we are there!

We were surprised at how good that photo turned out – I guess a lot of it is because it tells a story. I thought you had to line up for tickets daily to get up in the towers (but the line starts at 7am)… we have seen them so many times but still haven’t gone up there as we’ve heard pretty average reviews of it.

Even though they are no longer the tallest buildings in the world, they are certainly some of the most architecturally stunning.

Wonderful photos, love the B&W, it makes them look dated. I used to live in KL but never get tired of looking at the them, especially at night.
