You may have seen some posts titled “My 7 Links” being published on other travel blogs over the last few days. Tripbase have created this joint endeavor to unite bloggers and after being nominated by the awesome pair behind Our Tasty Travels, we thought it would be a great idea to participate.
So take a look at our seven links and read some of the best of Don’t Ever Look Back from the past 9 months.
1. Our Most Beautiful Post
This photo essay featured many beautiful photos from a day that meant so much to both of us. It’s not every day that you’re lucky enough to attend a traditional cultural wedding and these pictures really captured the experience brilliantly.
2. Our Most Popular Post
7 reasons why you should take that round-the-world trip and travel now!
This inspirational post has had twice as many page views that any other post we’ve published and received plenty of comments. If you’re on the fence about taking the plunge into long-term travel, this might just give you the push you need.
3. Our Most Controversial Post
Backpack vs. suitcase? Our decision.
Revealing our decision to take a suitcase on our round-the-world trip was met with a big response from the backpacking community of our readership. Fortunately our reasoning was enough to convince most of them that at the end of the day, a traveller should use whatever works for them.
4. Our Most Helpful Post
Now this might cause some controversy! Rather than select a single helpful post, for this answer we’re nominating the entire Frugal February project. With the help of some awesome guest writers, we identified plenty of ways to save extra money for travel and were delighted to know that many of our readers took on this advice and were one step closer to making their travel dreams happen sooner!
5. A post whose success surprised us
Our very first blog post from October 2010! We weren’t expecting too much when we started Don’t Ever Look Back so to receive 11 positive comments was amazing for us! The fact that some of these comments came from top bloggers that were an inspiration to us before we started this website made it even more special and gave us the motivation to be where we are today.
6. A post you feel didn’t get the attention it deserved
An interview with Amy & Kieron
From our first post to our most recent post – we interviewed ourselves (including answering questions from our Facebook fans) and were honestly expecting a lot more interest in it. Perhaps we’re just not that interesting, eh? Haha. If you haven’t read our interview yet, go check it out!
7. The post that we are most proud of
7 things to do in Bali, Indonesia
Now this was a tough one to answer! But this post would have to take the cake – we put a lot of effort into this post and took the experiences we had from our first international trip together. It’s become a huge success in Google and we think it will become our most popular post by the end of 2011.
