Review: Embassy Suites Riverwalk San Antonio

Review: Embassy Suites Riverwalk San Antonio

Every city we’ve visited in the United States has a tourist attraction that just can’t be missed. In San Antonio, Texas, it’s difficult to look past the historic San Antonio River Walk as the city’s primary must-see attraction.

So when looking for a hotel in downtown San Antonio, you probably want to base yourself as close as possible to the River Walk and based in the heart of San Antonio’s River Walk area is the Embassy Suites Riverwalk, which is where we stayed during our visit to the Alamo City.

Immediately after stepping into the elegantly designed lobby of the Embassy Suites Riverwalk, we knew we were staying in the right place in San Antonio.

Our check-in at Embassy Suites was a breeze and after such good first impressions, we headed up to our one-bedroom suite on the 16th floor with high expectations. We certainly weren’t disappointed as we stepped into a spacious living area that would be ours for the next three nights.

More hotels really need to have a separate living area built into them – being able to relax somewhere other than your hotel bed and watch television when it’s 100 degrees outside is delightful. The work area (also used as a dining table on occasion) was superb and used constantly throughout our stay.

The private bedroom consisted of 2 cosy queen-sized beds (and another 32″ television!) which made sleeping easy after a day of exploring San Antonio and the nearby River Walk.

And you just can’t go wrong with a beautiful well-lit bathroom like the one in the picture below.

Our room at the Embassy Suites Riverwalk had truly everything we needed and would suit both the leisure or business traveler perfectly. A complimentary breakfast buffet is included with your stay with a wide selection of cooked items, cereals, baked goods, pastries and even cooked-to-order omelettes available for your enjoyment.

But the best part of the Embassy Suites River Walk? Its location, of course! The San Antonio River Walk is right on the hotel’s doorstep and within minutes to world-class dining, trendy nightspots and the Rivercenter Mall.

Rooms start at just $129 USD per night, which is a bargain for what you receive here! If you’re in San Antonio, compare the Embassy Suites Riverwalk to any other hotel in the area and we’re confident it will offer many more amenities and better value for your dollar.
