Review: Paradise Bay Resort Hawaii

Review: Paradise Bay Resort Hawaii

On our visit to Oahu, we had originally planned to spend 5 nights in Honolulu/Waikiki before moving onwards to the North Shore. But when Paradise Bay Resort approached us with an offer to stay on the Windward side of the island, we quickly changed our plans and became their guests for 3 nights.

Paradise Bay Resort is located on Kaneohe Bay overlooking the Ko’olau Mountain Range and if we could describe the place in one word, that word would be tranquil. The two of us stayed in a Waterfront Suite overlooking the bay, enjoying the relaxing sounds of gentle waves lightly splashing against the edge our balcony. Most of the time, that was the only noise we could hear which suited us perfectly.

Here’s what we saw when we first walked up to our suite:

The suite at Paradise Bay Resort had everything we needed for a relaxing time – a full kitchen so we could cook our own meals, wifi access so that we could get some work done and a very comfortable bed. We were a little worried about the lack of air conditioning, but this turned out to be a non-issue with the cool breezes and ceiling fans doing a more than adequate job.

Paradise Bay is a great place to locate yourself if you want to explore the rest of Oahu without having to deal with the traffic of the South Shore. On the day we arrived at Paradise Bay, we made the short 10-minute drive to Kualoa Ranch, famous for being a film location on movies/TV shows including Jurassic Park and Lost.

However, it’s also a great place to sit around and do not much at all which is exactly what we did on one of our days there, catching up on some reality television. The resort also provides free use of the kayaks and with plenty of marine activities nearby, you’re sure to find something to keep you busy at Paradise Bay Resort.
