Scottish Road Trip Day 4: The Stunning Scenery of Loch Lomond

Scottish Road Trip Day 4: The Stunning Scenery of Loch Lomond

Day 4 of the Road Trip was all about driving.

We had a five-and-a-half hour trek from the Isle of Skye to Glasgow and unfortunately weather wasn’t on our side as we bid farewell to our lovely bed and breakfast hosts Carol and Martin following a scrumptious home-cooked breakfast.

After nearly three hours on the road, we passed Fort William and arrived in Glen Nevis where we stopped for lunch at a nice cafe. It was then back in the car and 90 minutes later we arrived in Luss, a village on the west bank of Loch Lomond.

Now this was the beautiful Scottish scenery we were searching for!

Beautiful weather and the colors of fall definitely inspired the two of us as we jumped back into the car and completed our drive to Glasgow just before 5PM.

Our whirlwind adventure to Scotland certainly had its ups and downs but at the end of it we vowed that one day we would be back in Scotland to explore the Highlands in more detail.

Route Map of Our Road Trip

The four days of our Scottish road trip took us over 500 miles from Edinburgh to Glasgow via the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye.

If we did another road trip to Scotland, what are some of the other stops we should include?
