Sydney Accommodation With A Spectacular View

Sydney Accommodation With A Spectacular View

We were determined to celebrate Amy’s 25th Birthday in Sydney in style so when we received a last-minute offer to stay at the Balmain Wharf Apartments, we jumped at the opportunity even though it meant sacrificing a paid night of accommodation elsewhere.

On a sunny afternoon we jumped on the ferry at Darling Harbour and hopped off a few minutes later at Balmain East to discover our apartment was located just a few feet away. This provided us with easy access back to Circular Quay and Darling Harbour when we needed it.

We soon were checked into Apartment 4 (The Parapet), a one-bedroom apartment located on the ground floor and were welcomed with a basket of goodies and a bottle of wine in the fridge.

The apartment was fantastically modern with a separate bedroom (complete with ensuite) and a fully equipped kitchen containing everything Kieron required to cook a delicious birthday dinner that night.

The lounge room in our apartment came with a Plasma Television and Foxtel IQ (cable TV), which meant we also had everything we needed for a relaxing night in. We flicked between the music video channels and of course our favorite guilty pleasure – some hideously awesome American reality TV.

But what was our main reason for staying at the Balmain Wharf Apartments for Amy’s birthday? If you’ve been following us on Facebook, you’ll know exactly why we loved this place so much!

There probably is no better place in Sydney to enjoy a lovely dinner overlooking Sydney Harbour. And we certainly did enjoy eating our chicken risotto and drinking our complimentary chardonnay as we watched the boats and ferries slowly sail past.

Life doesn’t get much better than that!

We even got up early the next morning to watch the sunrise over the Bridge – beautiful!

Our only complaints about Balmain Wharf Apartments was the nearby construction work that partially obstructed our view and the noise of the bus service that constantly stopped right out front. However these were just minor annoyances for what was a perfect way to celebrate a birthday.

If you’re planning on spending a week or more in Sydney and want to treat yourself, we can highly recommend spending it at Balmain Wharf Apartments. They are also open to shorter stays depending on availability so if you’re celebrating a special occasion then it’s definitely worth the splurge – we would do it again in a heartbeat!
