Video: Snorkelling The Great Barrier Reef

Video: Snorkelling The Great Barrier Reef

Two weeks ago we introduced you to Reefworld, the largest floating pontoon facility in Australia and our base for exploring the Great Barrier Reef on our visit to Hamilton Island.

Then we published our collection of underwater photos from when we went snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.

And now, it’s time for the final part of our Great Barrier Reef series – the video!

Is snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef on your bucket list?

And if you have the time/budget, find a liveaboard and learn how to dive! What better spot to start than the Great Barrier Reef?

Great video! The Great Barrier Reef is one of my favourite places. We tell everyone to go there whenever we have the chance! No amount of money is too much for a day snorkeling and we invariably look at each other at the end and say ” should we go again tomorrow??! Lol

Haha love your attitude! We’re all about splurging on those unforgettable experiences which is why we paid nearly $800 for a helicopter ride over Heart Reef, Whitehaven Beach and the Whitsundays. Some think we’re crazy but it was one of the best things we’ve ever done and something we’ll remember forever.

Amazing video guys! And the pink stinger suit is even cuter in the video – much pinker than I originally thought! I’m envious that you guys have such great snorkeling in your “backyard” so to speak, and you’ve certainly convinced me that this is something well worth splurging on whenever my husband and I make it to Australia!

Thanks Steph! Yeah we were lucky to have some brand new stinger suits that were very bright and colorful. It’s probably one of the best places in the world to snorkel and we’re glad that we finally had the chance to do it in our own backyard. Definitely splurge on it when you come to Oz, you won’t regret it!

Hehe we loved the colors of our stinger suits – if you gotta wear them, may as well look good right? The underwater video doesn’t even do the colors of the reef justice, check out some of the professional videos on YouTube to see what you’re really missing out on! We think that’ll help move it up to near the top of your bucket list. :)

Awesome! This is definitely on my must-do list. And it’s good to see/hear that you don’t have to go diving deep to see some of the good stuff!

I have swam with dolphins and jumped out of a plane, this is the last thing i need to do on my list!
