Cradle Mountain is one of the most beautiful destinations in Tasmania (if not the whole of Australia) with an abundance of flora and fauna. We saw padmelons, wallabies, wombats, possums and even an echidna just roaming around without a care in the world. This photo is of Cradle Mountain itself as seen from the north across the spectacular Dove Lake.

Photo Friday #30: Cataract Gorge Launceston
After two months of being grounded in Melbourne, we’re finally on our first big adventure for 2012. The destination of this trip is Tasmania, Australia and we spent our first day in Launceston at the inspiring Cataract Gorge, one of the region’s premier tourist destinations.

Our first glimpse of the spectacular Grand Canyon was also the first time we ever saw a squirrel in the United States. It was a novelty at the time and we rushed to take a photo of it thinking it was a rare sighting. Little did we know that we would soon be seeing them everywhere across America!

Upon returning to Singapore in 2011, one of the places we were most looking forward to visiting was the revamped waterfront at Marina Bay. In this photo you can see the architectural wonder that is the Marina Bay Sands and the blooming lotus that is actually a Rooftop Amphitheater.

This is probably the favorite sunset photo we’ve ever taken and comes from Honolulu, Hawaii. This picture was taken at the Ala Moana Beach Park with a silhouette of a plane and the coconut trees just adding another element to the image. Gorgeous, huh?
