Hampstead Heath (also know as “the Heath”) is London’s version of New York City’s Central Park and is one of the highest points in London. Photo Friday #16: Underneath Eyjafjallajokull

Þorvaldseyri is a milk and cattle farm at the base of Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Eruptions at Eyjafjallajokull in April 2010 and the subsequent volcanic ash led to six days of air travel disruption, however it also caused widespread flooding which left Þorvaldseyri covered in black ash and water.

Located in New York City’s Central Park between 71st and 74th Streets is Strawberry Fields, a 2.5 acre area dedicated to the late Beatle John Lennon. We visited there just after the anniversary of his birthday and there were plenty of tributes around the Imagine Mosaic.

The decision to visit Niagara Falls was a spontaneous one, but one we were very glad we made. Amy walked over Rainbow Bridge to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and snapped this panorama stretching from Rainbow Bridge to Horseshoe Falls. A rainbow even started to peek through!
