Review: MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa Lake Tahoe

Review: MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa Lake Tahoe

The first destination on our recent California Road Trip was the delightful South Lake Tahoe, chosen primarily for its outdoor activities as well as the nightlife, entertainment and gaming options in the city.

While in Tahoe we were treated to two nights at the MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa on the Nevada side of Stateline. The MontBleu Resort delivered on all the nightlife, entertainment and gaming we wanted and also provided the two of us with the ideal location to explore the rest of South Lake Tahoe.

After arriving to free self-parking (always a great thing when you’re road-tripping and staying at hotels!) and a smooth check-in within MontBleu’s stylish lobby, we headed up to the 8th floor  and were immediately impressed by the spacious room that greeted us.

As you can see in the picture above, we had a large comfortable bed (with excellent pillows) and plenty of space to relax in. We could also see the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains from the window and our room even came with a Roman Style 360-degree bathtub – excellent for any couple looking for a romantic weekend in this part of California.

We emptied our bags and headed straight down to MontBleu’s Cafe Del Soul for 99-cent tacos and 99-cent margaritas, which are on offer for Players Club Members between 1pm and 6pm daily. The perfect way to settle into the resort after the drive to Tahoe!

One of the things we were most excited for at MontBleu was their entertainment/nightlife, specifically the Sunday Night Pool Party and its $1 drinks. You can read about our fun night out at Onset at MontBleu Resort in our Day 1 Trip Report.

If you’re looking for an entertainment destination in Lake Tahoe, this is where you need to be. Within MontBleu Resort is the MontBleu Theatre (which features events and concerts on a regular basis) as well as Blu Nightclub, Opal Ultralounge and an arcade for the kids.

Oh, and don’t forget the casino itself, a range of dining options and a lagoon-style indoor pool/spa/fitness center. There really is something for everybody at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa.

Tip: Be sure to ask for a room away from the elevators upon booking or check-in – you might even get a free upgrade! We were placed directly behind the elevators and a light sleeper would definitely have some issues in getting a good night’s rest.

Disclaimer: We received a complimentary stay at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa. As always, all thoughts and opinions are our own.
